Victory Laps, Voting, and Sing Alongs
There's this thing I call Victory Laps. It's a "go laugh in the places you cried" philosophy. Full circle moments, if you will.
Grabbing a Liquid Death from CVS instead of a magnum of cheap wine, for example. Waking up happily to the sounds of birds chirping instead of a pounding hangover headache is another.
One of our Insiders experienced this last weekend in Scottsdale at Sober in the City. The last time she was in Scottsdale, she was drunk for days celebrating her retirement. This time fully present, clear, and connected.
I experienced this big time when my teenage daughter called for a late-night pickup from a friend's house years ago. She was so apologetic, and I got to say, "My darling, I'm thrilled; I've been in training for years for this exact phone call!"
In our Insider group calls, we are calling out victory laps each week. This weekend is another big one for me, and you can help me make it OUT OF THIS WORLD. Please help!
If I had a rock bottom, it was Memorial Day 2017. I was drinking the entire weekend, on anxiety meds, and passed out early in the day on Monday in front of friends, family, and, most heartbreakingly, my mom, my husband, and my kids. š

Quick update: Sober in the City Scottsdale exceeded all expectations!
Special thanks to Jen, Lucy, and Chelsie for knocking our Kaftan and Quesadilla Event out of the desert. I am still riding high from it, and the feedback has been incredible.
I've enjoyed every Sober in the City that I have attended, but this one was honestly my favorite yet. I loved the resort feel and the added woo with yoga, reiki, sound bath, and palo santo smudge.
It was the people who made the best memories for me. The best moments were the unexpected, unscripted, and totally organic ones that took me by surprise. I will never forget our impromptu singalong with the insiders. Natalie on her ukulele, leading us in Country Roads and The Gambler. It was a new core memory locked in for me. Thank you, beautiful ladies, for coming with your open hearts.
I plan to host more IRL events with invites going to Insiders first. Stay tuned.
