This Isn't Just My Story… It Might Be Yours Too

"You've kept it all together. Career, family, life—it looks good from the outside."

But inside? You've been quietly wondering if alcohol is still working for you. And you're not sure where that question leads.

At Ditched the Drink, I offer recovery & sober coaching for women who don't need a dramatic rock bottom to make a powerful change. Whether you're sober curious or a gray area drinker tired of the cycle, you just need a quiet space to ask better questions—without judgment, without shame.

I Didn’t Quit Drinking Because I Had To—I Quit Because I Was Ready for Something Better

Meet Heather Lowe — Certified Sober Coach for Women

I'm Heather Lowe, BSW, CPRC, CPC, CFAA-HR, PHR

Certified Professional Coach and founder of Ditched the Drink.

But before I ever coached a client or led a workshop, I was just a high-functioning (over-functioning?) woman trying to make sense of my relationship with alcohol.

I had the education, the resume, and the family. But I also had a constant undercurrent of unease, like I was performing my life instead of fully living it.

The turning point wasn't dramatic. It was a whisper: What if it could feel better than this?

From Questioning

to Coaching Women Quitting Drinking

Once I decided to take a break from drinking, I realized how few resources existed for women like me — successful, sober curious, and not looking for labels.

I didn't want to start over. I just wanted to feel more present, more grounded, more me.

So I created what I couldn't find: a safe space for high-achieving women to change their relationship with alcohol without pressure, stigma, or all-or-nothing rules.

I became one of a small number of sober coaches with formal training in social work, recovery coaching, addiction awareness, neuroscience, HR, women-specific recovery, yoga nidra, human design, and trauma-informed practice.

Since launching Ditched the Drink, I've had the honor of sharing this message across wellness, leadership, and workplace spaces—helping professional women rethink drinking in a way that feels empowering, not all-or-nothing.

My work has been featured in Life Coach Magazine, Thrive Global, After Magazine, Girl Boss, NY Post, Wine Enthusiast, Mashable, and Corporate Wellness Magazine.

Through my background in social work and professional coaching…, I began helping others navigate this same path, one that honors their autonomy, protects their privacy, and supports their goals.

"The Insider Community has been a huge asset to helping me stay on my alcohol free journey. There are so many great reading tools, and the best part is being able to hop on a call with people who are on the same journey. It's a place to support one another if you are 1 day sober or 3 years sober without having to worry about judgment. 😘 " - Chelsie
