Grief that Comes Out Sideways
Thank you for all the love with the passing of my stepmom last week. I wrote about it in a blog post.
My first season of The Peripeteia Podcast- A Talk Show for Women has wrapped. This was a pilot for me to try something new and see how I liked it. I didn't like it...I LOVED it! 🤪 (did you like to say that as a kid? LOL!)
I am already recording Season 2. I have more inspiring guests with exceptional stories coming in the new year. You have time to catch up on past episodes. They are all so good. Honestly. Life changing too. A friend reached out for help after listening to the Leaving An Emotionally Abusive Marriage episode. Another person reached out for grief support, navigating complex emotions when her abuser died.
In more good news, together we have donated to Team Hakuna MaTatas. There's still time to chip in if you can. $5 is enough to make a difference. Cousin Christi's story is contagious and if the McDonald's manager was inspired to join the team, you might be too. I know everyone wants your money right now, but please, please consider it. It will make such a positive difference.
I was in the interview seat for a podcast that aired yesterday on Entrepreneurs in Recovery. This was such an important conversation because it was about the workplace. "Coming out sober" on LinkedIn was the scariest thing for me. I am glad I did because a lot of clients choose me as their coach because of my corporate background. These women needed to find me and that is more important than any judgement I may receive.
I have been shamed for my drinking and also shamed for not having been drunk "enough" to quit. I am not looking for affirmation from anyone anymore. I am banishing my own shame by sharing my story. All humans look to escape pain in some ways and I am no different. I am proud of this interview and I hope you'll watch it for a modern take on addiction and the workplace, not to mention the benefit of coaching.
How incredibly timely that we've got a workshop coming up on November 4th, Honoring Grief During the Holidays. You can join for free with the 7 Day Trial.
Lots of offerings this week delivered to you this week. Tons of success with our Last 90 Day Members in the INSIDER Group. We are having a good time being alcohol-free and you might have to come see it to believe it.
