Is Coaching Your Calling? This Is Your Sign. ✨
Hi Friend,
Every week, I talk to women who whisper the same thing:
“I feel like I’m meant to help people… but I don’t know where to start.”
“I want to turn my journey into something meaningful.”
“I think I’m being called to be a coach.”
If this is you, I want to remind you of something:
That whisper isn’t doubt. It’s direction.
It’s the beginning of your calling.
Becoming a coach has been one of the most transformational decisions of my life. It’s allowed me to help thousands of women, build a deeply purposeful business, and step into work that feels aligned with who I truly am.
And it all began with one choice: getting certified through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches (IAPRC).
✨ Why IAPRC? Because it’s the gold standard.
IAPRC is internationally recognized, trauma-informed, science-backed, and designed for people with lived experience who feel called to guide others.
Their graduates include me and some of the most influential leaders in the sober and wellness world:
-
Laura McKowen—author of We Are the Luckiest and Push Off From Here and founder of The Luckiest Club
-
Emily Paulson—founder of Sober Mom Squad and author of Highlight Reel and Hey Hun
-
Celeste Yvonne—@theultimatemomchallenge and author of It's Not About the Wine
-
Megan Wilcox—founder of SobahSistasSobriety
These women built movements that have changed millions of lives—and they all stood exactly where you stand now: at the edge of a calling.
✨ Coaching + Business Are Two Different Skill Sets—And You Deserve Support in Both
Something I wish more women knew:
Being a skilled coach and being successful at getting clients are two completely different skills.
Most new coaches think they’re “not good enough,” when the truth is much simpler:
They’ve been trained in coaching, but not in
sales, client attraction, messaging, visibility, or business strategy.
Here’s the real breakdown:
-
Coaching = guiding transformation, holding space, creating breakthroughs
-
Business = being seen, building trust, marketing authentically, selling with heart
Both matter.
Both are learnable.
And neither requires you to become someone you’re not.
This is where I come in.
I help women build both skill sets with confidence and compassion:
✔️ Coaching foundations through IAPRC
✔️ Aligned sales rooted in empathy, clarity, and consent
✔️ Business structure that fits your life, energy type, and Human Design
✔️ Messaging and marketing that feels natural, warm, and magnetic
✔️ Offer creation, pricing, and client attraction that doesn’t drain your nervous system
You don’t build a coaching business by hustling.
You build it by understanding who you are and how you’re designed to lead.
And I’ve seen what happens when women step into this work…
I support coaches and alcohol-free business owners. Here's a small sampling of a few women I've had the pleasure of supporting this year.
💫 Laura Silverman - Founder of Zero Proof Nation
@wearesober @zeroproofnation
She turned her lived experience into a platform that has shaped the alcohol-free movement—and she was recently inducted into the Sans Bar Academy NA Hall of Fame.
Her work is changing culture. Here's what she had to say about our work together.
I can't stress enough the way Heather holds space for her clients in a completely non-judgmental, open and honest, and loving way. When we started working together, I felt so lost and overwhelmed by life. I sat in a position of "why me?" and I came at my work in the adult non-alcoholic space with a sense of desperation. By the time Heather and I concluded our work together, I had taken ownership over my life and started a full-time job that enabled me to be Zero Proof Nation's primary investor. I've tackled some uncomfortable financial realities head-on. I have a stronger sense of self and more tools in my toolkit to rely on. The beauty of an excellent coach isn't in what they tell you to do; it's in how they help you come to those realizations yourself.
💫 Sarah Treacy—Founder of the Sober Adventure Collective and Sobriety is the New Epic Speaker Series
@thesobersherpa
Sarah took her story and built a bold, global community for women choosing powerful, vibrant, sober lives.
She didn’t wait to be perfect—she started where she was, built momentum, and created a movement. She shares her experience here:
Heather's Dare to Dream business course was the perfect tool to help me narrow my focus and get clearer about what I wanted to do, and I invested in her coaching services to guide me through it. As with every investment in myself, I hesitated. But the truth was clear: without structured support, guidance, and accountability, I was just going to stay stuck. More than anyone I've ever met, Heather makes sobriety look like the ultimate adventure. She's been a mentor, a super connector, and a friend for life!
💫 Jaime Andersen—Founder of Amazingly Alcohol-free
@amazinglyalcoholfree
Jaimie had the coaching basics down when we began working together—she had the heart, the talent, and the desire to lead. What she needed next was clarity, confidence, and a business model that actually fit her.
For weeks, we worked side-by-side on her offers, her visibility, her pricing, and the structure of a business that felt real and sustainable. She was growing—but something told me we were on the edge of an even deeper alignment.
And then… it happened.
Last week, I introduced Human Design into her business strategy.
We mapped her energy type, her decision-making authority, and the way she’s naturally designed to lead.
I created her full chart and summary, and we used it as a compass for making decisions, planning her future, and aligning her offers with the way her energy actually works.
And everything clicked.
It was electric.
Expansive.
Like watching someone step into their true frequency.
It confirmed—once again—why Human Design belongs in coaching, in business, and in the way women build careers that feel like them.
Here's Jaime's feedback:
Working with Heather has been one of the most powerful parts of my business journey. Her Human Design session blew me away with how accurate it was, and she helped me see exactly how to lean into the areas where I naturally thrive and pay attention to the places I tend to push or overdo. What I love most is her approach. She always makes me feel like I have so much to offer, boosts my confidence, celebrates my wins, and helps me show up in my business in a way that feels aligned, grounded, and true to who I am.
This experience is exactly why I’m dropping my new podcast episode on Human Design + Business for Coaches—a space where you'll learn how to use your energy type, strategy, and inner authority to build a business with ease, clarity, and alignment.
Because here’s the truth:
These women didn’t “get lucky.”

They did the inner work.
And they trusted themselves enough to begin.
You can, too.
